Clive Cox's Tis Marvellous became the third back-to-back winner of the Beverley Bullet when he retained his crown 12 months ago and Clive Cox's nine-year-old will bid to become the first three-time winner of this valuable contest.

The defending champion only sits fifth in the betting behind Silky Wilkie, who was a course winner here at Beverley as a juvenile and brings some strong seasonal form to the table. As does Apollo One, who has finished second in the Wokingham and Stewards' Cup on his two most recent starts.

11-year-old Judicial will attempt to win back the trophy he listed back in 2019. Tis Marvellous could be joined in the field by stablemate Kerdos, following a decent fifth in the King George at Glorious Goodwood.

Bryan Smart's four-year-old, Bond Chairman also features in the field. The only filly in the line-up, Elegant Erin rounds off the betting.

Despite being twice as old as many of the rivals he'll face on Saturday, the value in this year's Beverley Bullet could lie with former winner JUDICIAL.

Julie Camacho's 11-year-old has won four of his six starts around Beverley, including this Listed contest in 2019. Judicial's two third-place finishes at this venue both came when he was carrying a penalty. His most recent win came at this racetrack too, as Callum Rodriguez's mount beat some decent rivals in a valuable conditions stakes last September.

Camacho has only managed to get two runs into her teenager this term. Judicial finished down the field in the Chipchase Stakes on his reappearance, but ran better over five at the Shergar Cup, finishing a decent fifth under Hollie Doyle. Rodriguez returns to the saddle on Saturday and, with no penalty to shoulder, Judicial has every chance of contending around his favourite track.
