2023 FedEx Cup Championship odds: Who are the favorites to win the PGA Tour title?

The top of the FedEx Cup point standings looks very similar to the top of the Official World Golf Rankings.

And now that the season’s final major is completed, all eyes in the golfing world turn to the PGA Tour’s postseason and the crowning of the 2023 FedEx Cup champion.

With just two regular-season tournaments to play until the beginning of the playoffs, which start Aug. 10 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tenn., FrontPageBets takes a look at the odds-on favorites to win the Tour’s championship.

It starts with the two golfers who have dominated the game over the last two years: Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm.

While Scheffler is the No. 1 player in the world, he doesn’t have the best odds to win the FedEx Cup – that honor goes to Rahm … barely.

Rahm is the third-ranked golfer in the world, but leads the FedEx Cup point standings, winning four times on Tour this year, including the Masters in April.

The Spaniard is +285 to win his first Tour championship, according to Caesars Sportsbook.

Scheffler, who has won twice this season, is second in points and is +300 to win the FedEx Cup.

The world’s No. 2 player, Rory McIlroy, who is also the defending FedEx Cup champion, is at +500 to defend his title. McIlroy is third in points.

Rounding out the top five are Max Homa (+1200), who is fourth in points and ranked No. 7 in the world, and Rickie Fowler (+1400), who is ninth in FedEx Cup points, but is playing some of his best golf in recent memory, including a victory at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in early July.
