The Midsummer classic is again upon us and there is a lot of buzz around this year's game. The 2023 MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Park. Last year it was a pitchers' duel with the American League winning 3-2.

At some point, the National League will have to win an MLB All-Star game here. Coming into this game the National League has lost nine games in a row. This is a star-studded National League and starting lineup is dominated by Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers. Sean Murphy, Orlando Acia, and Ronald Acuna Jr, are starting and representing the Braves, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, and J.D. Martinez are starting and representing the Dodgers. Zac Gallen, Justin Steele, Mitch Keller and Josiah Gray should all be pitching in this game. Marcus Stroman has made another All-Star Game but it’s not expected that he’s going to be pitching in this game.

The American League have won nine games in a row, and they have a more balanced starting lineup, in terms of teams represented. Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Whit Merrifield, and Bo Bichette all will be starting the All-Star game and will be representing the Toronto Blue Jays. Some of the key starting pitchers is Shohei Ohtani, Gerrit Cole, Luis Castillo, and Sonny Gray are some of the big time pitchers that should pitch in this game. On the season Cole has pitched 117 innings and he sits with an ERA of 2.85. On paper, it looks like the American League has a big advantage, on the mound, and if this is a pitcher's duel, the American League has to feel like they have a big advantage.
