As the 2023 season approaches, now is the perfect time for bettors to look at some college football futures bets.

Here are the 2023 Oklahoma odds as well as some different betting options.

2023 Oklahoma State win total prop: Over 6.5 wins (-115 or better)

Head coach Mike Gundy’s squad doesn’t have the best group on paper, but there’s plenty of room for optimism heading into the 2023 schedule.

Oklahoma State lost quarterback Spencer Sanders to the transfer portal, but picked up fellow Big 12 passer Alan Bowman Jr. from Texas Tech. He will compete against Garret Rangel for the No. 1 spot.

Offense likely won’t be the issue, with seven starters returning on this side of the ball.

Bowman looked solid at Texas Tech but suffered injuries, Rangel has the experience within the Cowboy program to compete for the starting gig and Brennan Presley will be the lead wideout with Iowa transfer Arland Bruce IV also ready to contribute immediately.

Defensively, the Cowboys lost starters to the portal as well, including linebacker Mason Cobb. Cobb accounted for 96 tackles (13 for a loss) and will be hard to replace.

Oklahoma State will still have key contributors Kendal Daniels, Collin Oliver, Xavier Benson and Anthony Goodlow on this side of the ball.

Plus, Oklahoma State gets a favorable schedule by not facing Texas, TCU, Texas Tech and Baylor. Its toughest game will likely be a home contest against Kansas State or a home contest against Oklahoma.

Gundy’s teams haven’t finished below seven wins since his first season in 2005, and don’t expect that streak to snap this season.

Oklahoma State CFP odds: (+25000 or better)

The odds don’t favor any sort of playoff run for the Cowboys. In fact, Oklahoma State has +25000 odds to win the College Football Playoff.

With a favorable schedule, the Cowboys have the potential to surpass preseason expectations by many. But that doesn’t equate to a national championship.

Oklahoma State has considerable gap to make up within its own conference before it will have its sights set on a national title.

It’s tough to envision this team competing for a championship, much less the playoffs.
