2024 Genesis Invitational odds, picks, bets: Tiger Woods predictions by computer model that's nailed 10 majors

The 2024 Genesis Invitational will feature one of the strongest fields in all of golf. Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods are just some of the big names in the 2024 Genesis Invitational field. Woods has racked up 82 career victories on the PGA Tour, while Scheffler, the No. 1 ranked player in the world, enters Riviera Country Club fresh off a T-3 finish at the WM Phoenix Open. They'll both be popular picks as bettors lock in their Genesis Invitational 2024 bets.

According to the latest 2024 Genesis Invitational odds, Scheffler is listed as the 7-1 favorite, followed by McIlroy (17-2), Hovland (12-1), Xander Schauffele (14-1) and Max Homa (14-1). Woods, meanwhile, is going off as a massive 150-1 longshot this week. McClure's best bets also included Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson and Rickie Fowler (14-1) finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Top 2024 Genesis Invitational predictions 

One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 Genesis Invitational: Schauffele, a seven-time PGA Tour champion and one of the top favorites, struggles this week and doesn't even crack the top five. Schauffele has been one of the most consistent golfers since joining the PGA Tour in 2017. He's made the cut in 143 of 166 events, securing 53 top-10 finishes. He opened the 2024 PGA Tour season with three straight top-10 finishes.

However, Schauffele struggled in his last start, finishing T-54 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am earlier this month. He's also been among the worst putters on the PGA Tour this season, ranking 137th in putts per round (30.18), 140th in one-putt percentage (33.33%) and 141st in strokes gained: putting (-0.517). He's not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in the 2024 Genesis Invitational field.

The model has also revealed where Woods will finish in the 2024 Genesis Invitational. Woods made his PGA Tour debut at Riviera back in 1992, missing the cut by six strokes as a 16-year-old amateur. Woods went on to have one of the most storied careers in the history of golf, piling up 82 career wins, including 15 major championships.

Woods' last victory on the PGA Tour came at the 2019 Zozo Championship. And despite having so much success throughout his career, Woods has never been victorious at Riviera. He's played at Riviera 15 times during his career, recording two runner-ups and four top-10 finishes.
