ACC Football Week 7: Game Previews and Predictions

This week's ACC schedule features four conference showdowns. No. 4 Clemson visits Florida State in the primetime slot. The Atlantic remains competitive, with the Tigers as the current favorite.

Miami lost 27-24 to UNC last Saturday. Virginia Tech lost 45-29 to Pittsburgh last weekend. Miami entered the red zone on all 11 of its offensive drives, but only produced four scores. The Hokies have struggled in the scoring department this season.

The Miami Hurricanes have had a slow start to the season. Wells leads the ACC with seven interceptions. Van Dyke is the superior quarterback.

#15 North Carolina State (5-1) and #18 Syracuse (0-5) are playing each other at 3:30 p.m. ET. Syracuse is off to its first undefeated start through five games since 1987. North Carolin State won last week 19-17 at home against Florida State.

Syracuse's undefeated start to the season is impressive. NC State is their toughest opponent today. The Wolfpack is favored by 3.5 points.

No. 4 Clemson (6-0) is playing Florida State (4-2) at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Tigers have won 12 straight ACC games dating back to last year. Florida St. lost to NC State last week.

Jordan Travis and DJ Uiagalelei are the only players I'm worried about. I'll pick Clemson to cover the 4.5-point spread.

North Carolina (5-1) and Duke (4-2) are playing each other in the ACC Football Week 7. North Carolina beat Miami last week. Duke lost to Georgia Tech last weekend in overtime. Carolina has the top scoring offense in ACC (42.4 PPG).

The total is high in this game. Duke has the better offense, but their defense leaves a lot to be desired. I like this bounce back spot for Duke.
