Are the St. Louis Blues Still Cup Contenders?

The Blues finished third in their division last season and made it to the second round of the playoffs. They lost David Perron for nothing and replaced him with journeymen and AHLers. The rest of their divisions have improved. The Colorado Avalanche re-signed their entire roster, while replacing the departed Nazem Kadri with Evan Rodrigues. Minnesota Wild kept Marc-Andre Fleury and will benefit from another huge season from their star forward. Nashville Predators added Ryan McDonagh to their already effective blueline and signed Nino Niederreiter.
