ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I might stay with the Mets. Peterson hasn’t gone over 3.2 innings in any of his last three outings, but he’s pitching pretty well overall. In that span Peterson has 10.1 total innings, three earned runs, eight hits and 11 walks. The walk rate needs to come down some, but if all goes well Peterson will put up a handful of good innings here. On Sunday the Mets had a couple of rough outings from starter Carlos Carrasco and Trevor Gott out of the pen. Offensively it wasn’t terrible but no one had more than one hit. That said, I like New York to bounce back and put up a good effort in this opener.
