Washington Nationals

The Nationals took on the Braves over the weekend and had a pretty rough time, losing three of four games. In Sunday’s 8-5 defeat, Washington’s Lane Thomas and Luis Garcia (two RBI) each had a homer. ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll stick with the Orioles here. The line’s way too thick to mess with though, so taking a stab on the Nationals isn’t a bad idea either. In any case, Rodriguez is doing pretty well on the mound this month. In his last three starts he’s 1-1 with just four earned runs in a total of 17.1 innings on 17 hits and five walks. As for Corbin, he’s coming off five earned in 4.1 innings in a loss to Atlanta but he’d been pitching well before that. I like both starters to at least flirt with a quality outing in game two. In the Tuesday opener, Baltimore wasn’t very good offensively, but then again the bulk of the game was a great starter battle. The Orioles have two or fewer runs in four of their last six games though, so the bats need to come around.
