Best NBA prop picks November 12: Blazers can contain Luka Doncic

Saturday's NBA slate features eight games. The nightcap is the game between the Blazers and the Mavericks.

Eric Gordon is still scoring at a solid rate in the twilight of his career. Luka Doncic is going up against a stout defence. Trae Young's turnaround starts in Philly.

Gordon went scoreless against the Clippers on Nov. 2. He's scored double-digit points in every other game this season. Gordon is not as reliant on 3-pointers as he was a few years ago, but they still account for more than half of his shots. The Pelicans have been solid on defence this year, and they rank 15th in defensive rating and 19th on opponent field goal percentage.

Gordon has averaged more than 12 points per game in every year of his career. He's hit double-digit points in nine of 10 games this season.

Luka Doncic is the NBA's leading scorer this season. He's averaging 33.6 points per game. His worst performances have come in the past two games (24 and 22). Portland ranks sixth in defensive rating and opponent field goal percentage (44.8%).

Trae Young is shooting 30.6% on 7.7 threes per game this season. Young was a 35.5% shooter from three-point range last year.
