Best NBA prop picks November 18: Without Bane, Morant is especially dangerous

Friday is a busy night in the NBA and on the prop market.

Ja Morant and Tyrese Maxey should be able to capitalize on key missing contributors. Josh Giddey's assist prop is fading.

Desmond Bane is injured and will be out for at least a couple of weeks. Morant will have to shoulder more statistical load without Bane.

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Morant has averaged 35.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists in his past five games without Bane. He has a 35% usage rate and 38% on Tuesday.

Morant has cleared this line five games in a row when Bane is out of the lineup. Bane hasn't played since Jan. 19, 2022.

Giddey has been more greedy this season and his assist average has dropped from 6.4 as a rookie to 5.3 this year. He has under 5 assists in eight of 12 games, including three of his past four.

Maxey is shooting 30.6% from 3-point range, but his career 3/4th rate is 39.8%. Maxey's opponent, the Milwaukee Bucks, allows the fourth-fewest points in the paint per game.
