For lack of a better cliché, it was a game of two halves for both of these sides last weekend. Leeds were unlucky to be level at the break against Crystal Palace, before conceding four goals in a dismal second half display.

Liverpool, meanwhile, were frustrated to come away with just a point after a dominant second half against Arsenal.

However, Liverpool fans won’t get too carried away after one decent half at home – it’s their away form which has let them down so badly with just 13 points from 15 games.

Worse still for Jurgen Klopp’s men, they face the only team that’s beaten them at home this season in Leeds (Yes – Liverpool really have only lost one game at home this season!) A trip to Elland Road on Monday night could pose a stern test for the Reds.

Both Teams to Score

Goals have been a feature of Leeds games of late, with BTTS landing in each of their last five outings. Games involving Leeds have seen 93 goals in total this season, the fourth most in the league behind Arsenal, Man City and Spurs.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have conceded at least 1.0 xG in each of their last four games, and in all but one of their away games this season, suggesting there may be plenty of chances for the home side.

Mo Salah to Score

Against one of the leakiest defences in the league, Liverpool players should get a few chances themselves, none more so than Mo Salah. Salah has scored 22 goals in all competitions for Liverpool this season, not bad for a man who’s meant to be struggling for form.

While the Egyptian may not have replicated his own high standards this term, he’ll be relishing a trip to Elland Road. He’s scored seven goals in just four league starts against Leeds, finding the net at least once on each occasion.

Weston McKennie to Commit 2 or More Fouls

Leeds aren’t just a goal magnet – they’ve also conceded the most fouls of any team in the league this season. Weston McKennie has committed 2+ fouls in each of his last two games and is likely to find himself up against some of Liverpool’s most frequently fouled players.

Thiago made a return to the Reds’ midfield in the second half against Arsenal and could line up on the left of Liverpool’s midfield on Monday. The Spaniard has won 1.9 fouls per 90 this season. Only Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have won more fouls on average, with both also posing a possible threat to McKennie on the right side of the Leeds midfield.

Ibrahima Konate to Commit 2 or More Fouls

Ibrahima Konate has committed a foul in each of his last 10 games, with 2+ fouls in five of those. Klopp moved Alexander-Arnold into a more midfield-like role against Arsenal, leaving Konate exposed on the right of the Liverpool defence; the Frenchman made more tackles vs Arsenal (six) than in any game this season.
