Bet Rays' Drew Rasmussen & Braves' Spencer Strider

Shayne Trail breaks down his favorite NRFI/YRFI bets of the day below, but you can follow all of his bets in the Action Network app.

Today, we will create a custom No Runs First Inning (NRFI) bet by analyzing the performances of two pitchers. This personalized bet can be crafted through sportsbooks such as DraftKings and Barstool.

This NRFI bet is different from a traditional NRFI, as it combines two separate half innings from the first innings of two different games. This approach allows you to have a better edge and tailor the bet to your preferences.

In today’s premier NRFI matchup, we turn our attention to Tampa Bay Rays’ ace Drew Rasmussen for our first selection.

Last season, Rasmussen boasted an impressive 22-6 record in the No Runs First Inning (NRFI) market, including an exceptional 11-2 home and NRFI split.

This season, Rasmussen’s home split prowess continues, with a 2-0 record thus far.

The Rays’ pitcher has previously shown dominance over several New York Yankees hitters, including Anthony Rizzo (0-3), DJ LeMahieu (0-1), Oswald Peraza (0-2), Oswaldo Cabrera (0-2) and Aaron Hicks (0-2).

It’s worth noting that the Yankees’ lineup is not at its strongest today, as power hitters Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge are both absent.

Our second selection is standout Atlanta Braves pitcher Spencer Strider.

Last season, Strider’s near-flawless 18-2 NRFI record was highlighted by a perfect 10-0 home NRFI record. Strider has proven to be exceptionally effective when facing batters for the first time in the order, posting a .125 average and allowing just six hits from 48 batters faced.

Furthermore, Strider has been successful against teams’ leadoff hitters, conceding only three hits in 17 batters faced.

As for the NRFI betting odds, DraftKings currently offers -179, while Barstool Sports is slightly more favorable at -177.
