Betting ban, career move and continued injury frustration

Daniel Sturridge was at the heart of Liverpool's Premier League title challenge in 2014. He was released by Liverpool in 2019 and signed a three-year deal with Trabzonspor. The striker was banned from football for four months in March 2020 for betting violations. He has been plagued by injury problems since then. His career has nosedived since his time at Manchester City. It's been a difficult time for him since he moved to Chelsea.

Sturridge was banned for six weeks for betting on a possible move to Sevilla. He spent more than a year out of football and suggested he was moving to a career in music. After his release from Trabzonspor, he signed for Perth Glory. The club has struggled under his management and lost all three games. Richard Garcia was sacked in March. It was revealed that he had a groin injury. Richard is hoping it's nothing serious. His team has won just three matches this season. They are bottom of the A-League.   Garcia was unhappy with the decision to sign Sturridge.
