Daniel Sturridge 'devastated' by four-month ban for breaching betting rules

Daniel Sturridge has been banned for four months and fined £150,000. His contract with Trabzonspor was terminated by mutual agreement on Monday. He had been accused of passing on inside information about a potential transfer to Sevilla. The FA's appeal board ruled the commission had misapplied rules. Sturidge is suspended from all football-related activity until 18 June. He is going to continue to campaign for professional footballers to be able to speak to their families and close friends freely.
