Fulham vs Wolves betting tips and analysis

Fulham will attempt to further strengthen their claims for a European berth when they host Wolves on Friday. The Cottagers have defied all expectations since returning to the Premier League this season and they head into Friday’s clash at Craven Cottage sitting sixth.

Relegation couldn’t be further from their thoughts and a run of three games unbeaten, including successive wins, has reignited hopes that they can secure a route into Europe.

Wolves, meanwhile, do still have concerns about their future in the top flight, although they have enjoyed an upturn in performances since Julen Lopetegui took charge.

They have still only won six times this campaign but four of those victories have come since the Spaniard arrived in November, helping them to climb three points clear of the bottom three.

Cottagers can deliver another win

Fulham are unbeaten in five matches in all competitions and have won the previous three, against Sunderland in the FA Cup and against Nottingham Forest and Brighton in the league. Wolves are 15th and still involved in the relegation battle, but are enjoying a resurgence under Lopetegui.

Nevertheless, a home win is our first selection. Fulham have won six of their 12 Premier League home games this term and only Newcastle United, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have won in the top flight at Craven Cottage.

After back-to-back wins over Liverpool and Southampton, Wolves came crashing down to earth with a 1-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth last weekend. They have picked up only nine points on their travels in the league and we expect that tally to remain in single figures after this match.

Fulham vs Wolves tip 1: Fulham to win @ 5/4 with Betfred

Forward thinking pays for Silva

Fulham scored 106 in last season’s Championship-winning campaign and Silva has stuck to the attacking principles that served his side so well.

Just six teams have registered more than their tally of 20 home league goals but their ambition to attack does come at a cost, and only three clubs have let in more home goals than the 16 they have shipped at Craven Cottage.

Fulham’s fans certainly haven’t been short-changed this season with nine of their 12 home league fixtures producing over 2.5 goals.

Fulham vs Wolves tip 2: Over 2.5 goals @ 1/1 with Betfred

Palhinha worth a punt

We’ve put together two selections via Betfred’s #PickYourPunt and the first leg requires Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha to receive a card.

Fulham have picked up more yellow cards (59) than any other club in the Premier League this season and Palhinha has contributed nine of those. Against a very talented Wolves midfield he could find himself in trouble again here.

The second leg of our #PickYourPunt needs both teams to score and Fulham’s poor defensive record at home should hand Wolves the chance to register.

Wolves were extremely goal-shy under Bruno Lage but they have offered more bite in the final third since Lopetegui arrived, netting nine of their 17 league goals since the change in the dugout.

Fulham vs Wolves tip 3: Joao Palhinha to be carded and both teams to score @ 11/2 with Betfred
