Betway starting goalie bet of the day: Bet on a big game six for Igor Shesterkin

Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!

Three game sixes took place Friday night and the NHL’s version of the “elite 8” has its two newest members in the Carolina Hurricanes and Dallas Stars, they both joined the Vegas Golden Knights as the only three teams to already advance to round 2.

Many expected the Presidents Trophy winning Boston Bruins to be part of that group and make quick work of the eighth seeded Florida, but that hasn’t been the case. Florida won a thrilling 7-5 game game Friday, tying up the series 3-3 with a game 7 heading to Boston on Monday night.

Betway still has Boston as the favorite to win the Eastern Conference at +190.

Saturday will see more game six action as three more teams will look to advance to round 2 and join the Knights, Stars and Wild. Here is a goalie prop I like for tonight’s game.

Player Prop

Shesterkin is fresh off a 39 save effort in game 5, unfortunately his efforts were wasted as the Rangers lost the game.

The Devils finished the regular season ranked fourth in the league in shots per game, firing over 34 per game. With a chance of advancing to round two, expect them to be directing everything on net.

Last Game Bet

Linus Ullmark to make over 30.5 saves at -130.

Absolutely not a great start for us, Ullmark played one of his single worst games of the season giving up six goals on 33 shots, finishing with only 27 saves. We’re down a unit on the year.
