Blue Jays Prediction: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. will surpass his projections

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is one of the Blue Jays' young stars. He made a name for himself in 2018 and is under contract for seven years. His 2020 projections are not very impressive, but he's still a good player. He's undervalued. The Blue Jay's used Vlad Jr., Bo Bichette, Cavan Biggio and Randal Grichuk to reveal their new baby blue alternative jerseys. They also used him. It's a shame he didn't make it. For me, he is a better player than his projections suggest. I think he'll be able to do better than 1.4 fWAR.

Gurriel Jr. has spent time on the Injured list in both 2018 and 2019. He's expected to produce 2.5-3 fWAR this season. He could be one of the most dangerous hitters in the Blue Jays' lineup. If he does that, his pre-season projections are going to look silly.
