Pick

The Guardians come into this series really struggling and they are falling back in the AL Central race. Toronto has played well this year and while they probably won’t catch Baltimore and Tampa Bay, they do have a small lead for the final Wild Card spot. Toronto is starting Hyun Jin Ryu, who allowed four earned runs over five innings in his first start of the year against Baltimore. Cleveland is starting Gavin Williams, who has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four straight starts, but does not pitch very deep into games. I really don’t like how Cleveland looked on Saturday and Sunday and their offense has not been good. Give me Toronto in this one.
