Caesars launches Turf betting platform in New York

Caesars Entertainment announced the launch of its horse racing betting app and website in upstate New York.

The Caesars Racebook product gives New York consumers access to race betting at more than 300 tracks worldwide.

The app is also integrated into the Caesars Rewards loyalty program.

Players earn points for every bet placed and can redeem these credits for experiences at any group location in the US and Canada.

The New York launch follows successful racebook launches in several other states.

This includes: California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington and Wyoming.

The company said it has plans to launch the racebook product in across the US.

Dan Shapiro, Senior Vice President, Caesars Digital, said, “Based on the popularity of our Caesars Sportsbook app, we are excited to launch Racebook in New York during the height of Saratoga racing.”

“Caesars has a deep-rooted commitment to horse racing, and we couldn’t ask for a better partner to deliver a first-class mobile betting experience to racing fans,” added Shapiro.

Caesars Racebook is powered by NYRA Bets, the online betting platform for the New York Racing Association. This partnership has been active since March last year.

“This is an important expansion of the partnership between NYRA Bets and Caesars Racebook,” said Tony Allevato, President of NYRA Bets. “It will contribute to the success of horse racing in New York State now and in the future.”

Caesars’ continued expansion in New York

The launch of Racebook in New York will further strengthen the operator’s presence in the state.

Caesars was one of the first operators to enter the regulated online betting market in New York following the launch of mobile betting in the state in January 2022.

Eighteen months later, the company is now among the leaders in New York. However, the state is still dominated by DraftKings and FanDuel.

In July, Caesars reported $10.6 million in online sports betting revenue from $111.1 million in wagers.

This placed the company in third place among the nine operators currently licensed in the state.
