Donovan Mitchell scored 71 points in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 145-134 win over the Chicago Bulls. Mitchell is the seventh player in NBA history to score 70 or more points. He is averaging 28 points per game this season. He broke the team record of 57 points set by LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. It was the highest-scoring game since Bryant's 81 points against the Cavaliers in 2006. The Cavs had lost three games in a row before Mitchell's heroics.
