Cognizant Classic 2024 odds, PGA Tour picks to win at PGA National

The PGA Tour’s Florida Swing kicks off this week in Palm Beach Gardens, where a solid field will battle at PGA National’s The Champion course for the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches – formally known as the Honda Classic – title.

Defending champion Chris Kirk, winner of the season-opening The Sentry in Hawaii, will be joined by world No. 2 Rory McIlroy, Cameron Young, Min Woo Lee, Tom Kim, Sungjae Im, Matt Fitzpatrick and Mexico Open winner Jake Knapp.

McIlroy, who hasn’t played at PGA National since 2018, most recently tied for 24th at the Genesis Invitational. The Northern Irishman won the 2012 Cognizant Classic, his third Tour title.

Cash the ticket! A week after hitting Hideki Matsuyama at 70/1 for one of our sleeper picks at the Genesis Invitational, Jake Knapp holds on to win the Mexico Open. You love to see it. Let’s get another one this week.

The reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year has come close to winning his first tournament on several occasions over the last year.

One example is a runner-up finish at PGA National last March.

More recently, Cole has two top-15 finishes in his last two starts, including a T-10 at the Genesis Invitational.

Lowry hasn’t had a great start to 2023 with just one top-25 finish in three starts. However, he loves PGA National.

He’s 6-for-6 making it to the weekend and has finished second and T-5 the last two years.

Berger is starting to find is footing on the golf course again after a long break due to injury. He has made two out of three cuts and most recently tied for 28th at the WM Phoenix Open.

He feels right at home at PGA National, finishing fourth in his last two appearances (2020, 2022).

Jaeger has played some great golf in 2023. He has made the cut in all five starts and has tied for third twice (Farmers Insurance Open and last week’s Mexico Open).

He has improved his finish at PGA National every year: MC (2018), T-78 (2019), T-48 (2022) and T-14 (2023).
