College football odds, lines, spreads: Picks, predictions, betting advice for Week 9, 2023 from proven model

The Week 9 college football schedule is loaded with games that have College Football Playoff implications, including No. 13 Utah vs. No. 8 Oregon. The Ducks are 6.5-point favorites in the Week 9 college football odds from SportsLine consensus. The only other ranked vs. ranked matchup on the schedule features No. 18 Louisville vs. No. 20 Duke on Saturday afternoon. Teams like No. 4 Florida State, No. 5 Washington and No. 3 Ohio State are all double-digit road favorites this weekend.

Before making any college football picks for those games or others in Week 9, be sure to see what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Since its inception, it has generated a stunning profit of well over $2,000 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

Now, it has studied the latest college football odds (see the latest college football lines for each matchup this week on our college football odds page), simulated every single play for every Week 9 game, and the results are in.

One of the college picks the model is high on during Week 9: Georgia (-14.5) crushes Florida in a rivalry matchup at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs have won all seven of their games this season, including a 51-13 win against then-No. 20 Kentucky in their lone meeting with a ranked opponent. Florida has not faced a top-10 team this season, and it lost to Georgia by 22 points last year. The model expects a similar result on Saturday, as the Bulldogs are covering the spread in over 60% of simulations.

Another prediction: No. 24 USC (-11) bounces back with a blowout win at California in a 4 p.m. ET kickoff. The Trojans are coming off a pair of losses to top-25 teams, but they are poised for a get-right performance on Saturday afternoon. California has lost three of its last four games by double digits, with all three of those losses coming against ranked opponents. The Golden Bears are going to have trouble matching USC's explosive offense, which is why the Trojans are covering the spread well over 60% of the time.

The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in every other FBS matchup, and it's calling for multiple underdogs to win outright!
