Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Predictions, Odds, Picks

The Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup takes place at Keeneland on Saturday. The race is a Grade 1 turf race for 3-year-old fillies. Chad Brown's team is led by Grade one winner McKulick. Gina Romantica's stablemate is the daughter of Into Mischief. Bellabel is an Irish import trained by Phil D'Amato.

The daughter of Frankel won her debut last summer at Saratoga. She has been competitive in all six of her tries in graded company. McKulick has two wins in a second at three different tracks in New York’s Turf Triple for fillies.

Gina Romantica has exchanged decisions with Faith in Humanity in a pair of stakes races in New York. The daughter of Into Mischief has gotten off to a promising start and further improvement makes her a serious threat here.

Bellabel is the granddaughter of Lope de Vega. She won the Blue Norther Stakes at Santa Anita in January. After a layoff, she won in the Grade 2 San Clemente at Del Mar. Last time she finished second in Grade 1 DelMar Oaks.

California Angel is making her second start off a six-month layoff. She finished third in the Dueling Ground Oaks at Kentucky Downs. She is a filly of some ability, but I don't believe this race sets up very well for her.

This daughter of Kitten's Joy won the Grade 2 Edgewood over McKulick four starts back at odds of 14/1. She has not found much success in three races since. The best of the three came in the Saratoga Oaks when she finished third.

Paris Peacock has won two races at Gowran Park in recent weeks. Florent Geroux rides her. She should be able to stay close early under good early pace.

She's Gone is a daughter of Curlin. She broke her maiden at Indiana Downs in her fifth try for trainer Vicky Oliver. The horse won at Kentucky Downs at odds of 12/1.
