Cross Country Pick 5 morning line odds: Racing writer has picks, bets for Feb. 11

Saturday's Cross Country Pick 5 includes races from Tampa Bay Downs, Aqueduct and Oaklawn Park. The five-race sequence begins with the Pelican Stakes at Tampa at 4:16 p.m. ET and ends with the Sam F. Davis Stakes. Before making any Pick 5 picks, you'll want to hear what SportsLine senior writer Gene Menez has to say.

A former reporter and editor at Sports Illustrated, Menez covered an array of sports, including horse racing, for the magazine and its website for almost 14 years. Between 2010 and 2012, he served as SI's handicapper for the Triple Crown races and correctly predicted Super Saver to win the Kentucky Derby in 2010. In 2015, while writing for Sports on Earth, Menez accurately gave out the Kentucky Derby superfecta (American Pharoah, Firing Line, Dortmund and Frosted), which paid $1,268.20 for $2. Then in 2017, he tweeted out his Kentucky Derby picks, including Always Dreaming to win, and hit the Pick 4, which paid almost $6,900 on a $1 bet.

On Dec. 26, Menez hit the Pick 5 at Santa Anita Park for $798.70. Three weeks ago he cashed the winner of the Lecomte Stakes for $172.50. Two weeks ago he nailed the exacta in the Southwest Stakes for $468, and last week he hit the winner of the Holy Bull Stakes for $180.

Now, Menez has handicapped the Cross Country Pick 5 for Feb. 11, made his picks and formulated his bets.

We can tell you that Menez is high on Wonder Wheel, the even-money favorite in the Suncoast Stakes, the third leg of the Pick 5. "This versatile filly can win either on or from off the pace and will be tough to beat if she's ready off the bench," Menez told SportsLine. Wonder Wheel is Menez's top pick in the Suncoast and a single A horse on his Pick 5 tickets.

In addition, Menez is high on a double-digit longshot on Saturday! This longshot "is too good to pass up" and could spice up the Pick 5. Menez is using this longshot on his tickets, and so should you. You NEED to see his analysis before making any Pick 5 selections.
