Dak Prescott: NFL MVP odds show he’s favorite at sportsbooks

After another impressive showing on national television on Sunday Night Football in a 33-13 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is the new consensus favorite to win NFL MVP at sportsbooks.

Prescott moved to +175 to win the award on Sunday night at DraftKings Sportsbook, and was down to +160 on Monday morning. San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy (+200) has the next-best odds, followed by Lamar Jackson (+550) and Jalen Hurts (+650). After losing 20-17 to the Buffalo Bills, Patrick Mahomes fell to 15-1 odds to win MVP at DraftKings (seventh best).

Prescott (271 yards passing, 2 TDs) helped fuel the Cowboys to a 24-6 halftime lead against Philadelphia, and rack up 394 yards of total offense for the game. Prescott has thrown for 3,5050 yards (third in the NFL), an NFL-leading 28 TDs and has a QBR of 74.6 (second).

The Cowboys are currently 2-point road underdogs against the Buffalo Bills in a game that will go a long ways toward strengthening — or shattering — Prescott’s MVP case.

For now? Cowboys fans are sure going to enjoy this week.
