Drake wins £1.4m on Jon Jones beating Ciryl Gane despite curse but rapper still loses staggering bet at UFC 285

DRAKE was back betting BIG on sports and won a whopping £1.4MILLION after Jon Jones beat Ciryl Gane at UFC 285.

The rapper put $250,000, or £207,730, stake on Jones to beat Gane via submission and the same on him to win by way of knockout.

And despite Drake having some bad luck with bets, he walked away from Saturday's UFC spectacular with a cool £1.4m.

Jones submitted Gane in just over two minutes to become the UFC heavyweight champion at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

And Drake will undoubtedly be happy with the way Jones finished the fight, as a knockout would've only been worth just over £1m.

The 35-year-old walked away with a £984,540 profit after both bets are deducted from the winnings.

Drake's big win comes shortly after he lost money on Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury.

The notorious "Drake Curse" struck as the problem child lost via split decision.

Drake slapped down £350,000 on Paul to knock out his rival Fury, which would've seen a return north of £1m.

Paul said: “This is Drake’s fault! Drake bro, why did you do this to me?

“It’s my fault. $400,000 is nothing for him and he’s won a lot more money betting on me before, so he’s probably about even now. Sorry Drake, I’m gonna get that W in the rematch.”

He has also lost and won money on a wide variety of sports, with Anthiny Joshua and Jadon Sancho among those supposedly hit by the curse.
