Dustin Poirier Opens As Decent Favorite Over Michael Chandler Ahead Of MSG Clash

Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler are going to meet at UFC 281 on November 12. Poier is the current lightweight champion, while Chandler is a former lightweight contender. The fight has been long-awaited. It will be the penultimate flagship event of the year.  Poirier has won three consecutive fights since losing to Conor McGregor. He also beat Charles Oliveira in December. His only other losses in the last five years have come against Oliveir and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Chandler and Poerier almost came to blows on fighter row at the UFC 276 back in July.

Dustin Poirier is the favorite ahead of UFC 281. Poier has a record of 12-3 at 155lbs and has won over Eddie Alvarez, Michael Johnson, Justin Gaethje, Anthony Pettis, and Max Holloway. Chandler has an impressive record in the UFC, winning over Ferguson earlier this year. The card also features an undisputed title doubleheader with Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. Carla Esparza and Zhang Weili are the co-main event.  The card takes place at the New York's Madison Square Garden.
