It’s very tough to make our Eagles vs Seahawks picks this week with both starting quarterbacks questionable to play. Jalen Hurts traveled alone to Seattle with an illness and has been downgraded to questionable. While Geno Smith is still a game-tome decision with a groin injury. So we could very well see a Marcus Mariota (PHI) versus Drew Lock (SEA) MNF showdown.

The total for this game is set at 45 points in the current NFL odds and if both QBs were playing, there could be an argument to be made for the Over. Something the public is still backing in the Eagles vs Seahawks public betting splits. Looking at NFL team trends, neither team is strong defensively. The Eagles are 28th in points per game allowed (24.7) and the Seahawks 25th (24.5).

With the QB question marks, I feel less confident going Over the total or even backing each team to score multiple touchdowns.

But you could take a less risk-adverse SGP prop of both teams scoring simply ten or more points. That proposition is a perfect 13-0 in Eagles’ games this season and 11-2 in Seahawk’s games. Last week Seattle allowed Christian McCaffrey to rush for 145 yards, plus eight yards receving (153 combined yarss). Prior to that Tony Pollard combined for 83 yards for Dallas and McCaffrey again had 139 total yards before that.

On the season, Seattle ranks 23rd in rushing yards allowed per game and in yards allowed receiving to running backs. But look at their most recent results and since Week 9 they are dead-last in both rushing yards and touchdowns allowed to opposing to running backs. Plus since Week 10 they’ve given up the most receiving yards to running backs too.

D’Andre Swift has been held in check in recent weeks with just 39 yards rushing versus the Cowboys last week but with Philly trailing big most of the game, the run and short passing game was somewhat nullified. Having a combined 19 yards versus the 49ers the week prior is not good, but again, they were trailing most of the game and the 49ers have an elite defense. Swift could be a good bet though in tonight’s Eagles vs Seahawks player props.

Seattle’s defense could be more welcoming to Swift putting up better numbers especially if Hurts can’t go and Mariota comes in with a safer playbook featuring more rushing and dump off passes.

Eagles vs Seahawks SGP Picks: Tyler Lockett 25+ Receiving Yards & 3+ Receptions

Philly’s pas defense has been getting carved up for weeks and now ranks 29th in passing yards allowed per game at 259.9. That may not be the worst of it though as the 23 touchdowns they’ve allowed to wide receivers is a league-high.

That’s great news no matter which Seattle WR you decide to back tonight.

DK Metcalf leads the team with 864 yards and seven touchdowns.

Tyler Lockett is second in both of those categories but leads the team in receptions, 65-51 ahead of Metcalf.

You’d have to go all the way back to Week 1 of the season to find a game where Lockett didn’t finish with at least three catches. In his past five games he’s had six, five, three, five and eight.

You’d also have to go back to Week 1 for the last time he didn’t exceed 25 yards receiving yards. In his past five games he’s finished with 89, 47, 30, 51 and 92.

Even if it’s Lock at QB for Seattle, he still found chemistry with Lockett last week targeting him the most among Seahawks’ receivers, six times, of which Lockett caught all six.
