Schumacher, Alpine F1, McLaren: The 2023 transfer situation
Mick Schumacher's contract with Haas F1 ends at the end of the year. He is currently a part of Ferrari Driver Academy. Schulder is also interested in Alpine F 1, where he could replace Fernando Alonso. Antonio Giovinazzi will try out with the team later this season. Günther Steiner has made contact with Daniel Ricciardo.
Pierre Gasly is being considered for Alpine F1. He is under contract with AlphaTauri until the end of 2023. Esteban Ocon is also being looked at. Daniel Ricciardo is not an option for the team. Oscar Piastri could be a candidate. The CRB could use the decision to repatriate the Australian.
The situation of the other Formula 1 teams is a little clearer. Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will drive for Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes F1. Lewis Hamilton will be driving for Mercedes. Fernando Alonso will join Lance Stroll at Aston Martin F 1. Valtteri Bottas will race for Alfa Romeo. Guanyu Zhou seems to hold the rope. Frédéric Vasseur is not counting on a return of Antonio Giovinazzi.
AlphaTauri will negotiate with the FIA for Colton Herta. If Pierre Gasly leaves, Red Bull would like to bring Hert a driver. Alex Albon, Nicholas Latifi and Logan Sargeant are potential candidates for the team. Schumacher and Ricciardo are also being considered. The 2023 transfer situation between Alpine F1 and McLaren is a hot topic. It is not clear if Schulder will be able to drive for Alpine. He is also a potential candidate for McLaren.
