Fulham vs Chelsea Prediction

The Blues have a hideous start to the Premier League season, as they sit 14th in the Premier League with just one league victory – despite spending over £200m in the summer.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have struggled to find form and have won just two from their last 18 league fixtures (including 2022-23 matches).

Fulham have also struggled in the opening weeks of this campaign, with their only wins coming against relegation contenders Everton and Fulham.

Losing Aleksandar Mitrovic has left a gigantic hole in the heart of Fulham’s squad and the Cottagers have scored just five goals so far.

With this said, we think despite their recent troubles, Chelsea will build off their midweek Carabao Cup victory against Brighton and come out victorious in the derby.

Prediction: Fulham 1-2 Chelsea

Fulham vs Chelsea Betting Tips

  • Raheem Sterling to score @ 39/20
  • Over 2.5 goals @ 19/20
  • Combined price @ 11/4

Fulham vs Chelsea Betting Tip 1: Raheem Sterling to score @ 39/20

Despite the England international only scoring twice in Chelsea’s opening six matches, Sterling is still the clubs joint goalscorer – alongside Nicolas Jackson.

However, with Jackson being ruled out of this fixture due to suspension, the goal scoring responsibility could fall upon the former Manchester City winger.

The four time Premier League winner has scored 131 Premier League goals, which is why this bet has been priced at 39/20  by many of the UK’s top football bookmakers.

Fulham vs Chelsea Betting Tip 2: Over 2.5 Goals @ 19/20

Fulham have seen three of their opening six matches go over 2.5 goals, and Chelsea have only seen two of their matches do so.

This would suggest a cagey affair, however, with both sides in desperate need (as well as a derby victory) we expect more goals this time out.

Additionally, Fulham have conceded 10 goals in six matches, which would suggest that Chelsea will have a host of chances to find the back of the net.
