Georgia at Alabama Prediction

The Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide will meet in Atlanta this weekend in the SEC Championship from Mercedes-Benz Stadium on CBS. The Alabama/Georgia rivalry has grown reserved for the SEC Championship, but it’s also one of conferences oldest rivalries. Five of the last seven meetings have taken place after Week 13, and Alabama leads the all-time series 42-26-4, but Georgia did snap a seven-game skid with a victory in the National Championship back in 2022.

Georgia Bulldogs Preview

Georgia comes in at 12-0 after defeating Georgia Tech in Atlanta, 31-23. The Bulldogs avoided disaster by pulling away from the Yellow Jackets in the second half, and they’ll look to complete the regular season unblemished here against Bama. The UGA offense is scoring 31.9 ppg, while passing for 219.4 ypg, rushing for 140.9  ypg, and converting 39% of their third downs.

Corey’s Free Pick

College football is at its best when the SEC title game holds national championship implications, and this year’s matchup falls right in line, as the winner of this contest will secure their place in the CFB Playoff. Georgia’s legitimacy was really in question prior to a three-week stretch of ranked action, and after struggling against Georgia Tech last weekend, it feels as if this squad is a step behind the previous two. Meanwhile, Alabama has hit a new gear down the stretch, if there’s ever a time to buy into Saint Nick’s stock, it’s now. This installment should be another classic that could see the defenses take the forefront, but trust the old guard to keep things close here, and potentially steal the upset. Spot Alabama the points for the SEC Championship on Saturday.
