Hanagan over the moon at 50-1 Norfolk shock

Paul Hanagan won the Norfolk Stakes with 50-1 shot The Ridler. Hanagagan's association with Richard Fahey ended last month. The jockey is now freelancing. He has had a few setbacks with injuries and other things. The winner veered violently across the track and badly hampered Crispy Cat and Brave Nation. It was controversial. His children are coming home and asking if he's had any winners.

The Ridler was interfered with by Crispy Cat and Brave Nation. Jockey Paul Hanagan was suspended for ten days. The winner was named after The Riddler, one of Batman's enemies. Owner Steve Bradley describes winning as the best day of his life. The Ridlers next target is the Prix Morny. Fahey didn't think the horse was a 50-1 shot. He will think about a flat six furlongs race after Ascot. It was decided to name the winner after a comic book character.
