Houston Astros Prospects Organization All-Stars Announced for 2022 Minor League Baseball Season

Minor League Baseball named the Houston Astros organizational All-Stars for the 2022 season. Three of the players were in the dugout for Houston's World Series win.

Yainer Díaz was promoted to the Major Leagues in September. He was acquired from Cleveland at the 2021 trade deadline. Dizaz is currently playing in LIDOM.

Joey Loperfido was named an All-Star for the Carolina League. He played for Single-A Fayetteville and High-AA Asheville Tourists.

Luis Santana was acquired in the 2019 trade that sent J.D. Davis to the New York Mets. He improved his defense and his plate discipline this season. The Gigantes del Cibao selected him in 2022 LIDOM Draft, but he hasn't appeared for them this winter.

Houston Astros Prospects Organization All-Stars Announced for 2022 Minor League Baseball Season. Corey Julks is the first player in the organization's history to have a 30/20 season at Triple-A Sugar Land.

David Hensley is a versatile player who can play all four infield positions and left field. He was named a Pacific Coast League All-Star.

Justin Dirden was drafted in 2020. He was promoted to Sugar Land after playing for Corpus Christi Hooks and Texas League Space Cowboys.

Corona was acquired in the Jake Marisnick trade that sent him to the New York Mets in 2019. He played in Houston's system between Single-A and High-a. Corona is currently playing for the Aguilas del Zulia in Venezuelan Professional Baseball League this winter.

Quincy Hamilton was a fifth-round pick in 2021. He played in the Fayetteville Hooks and posted a .661 OPS. Hamilton hit 33 doubles and 19 home runs in 2022.

Hunter Brown was named the Astros Minor League Pitcher of the Year and a Pacific Coast League All-Star. He will be in the Major Leagues for the Houston Astros in 2023.

Colton Gordon is recovering from Tommy John surgery. He was drafted in 2013. Gordon played in the Arizona Fall League and won a championship with the Surprise Saguaros.

Enoli Paredes was traded at the deadline. He was used sparsely in the Major Leagues over the last season and a half. Paringes took home Pacific Coast League All-Star honors this season.
