Houston Astros Slugger Yordan Alvarez May Still Be A Bit Under The Radar

Alvarez was named the 2021 American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player. He posted a record .522 batting average with 29 doubles, 37 homers, 97 RBIs, and 95 runs scored in 470 plate appearances. Alvarez had wrist and hand injuries early in his career. In July this year, Alvarez spent time on the Injured List with right hand inflammation. On September 16, he had a four-hit game, that included three home runs in consecutive at-bats. His biggest blow came in Game 1 of the 2022 Division Series against Seattle Mariners, October 11.
