Japan Family Day and the Tokyo City Cup brings culture to Santa Anita Park this weekend

At $41, the Japanese Eats Starter Pack includes admission and parking, a $15 food voucher, one sake craft cocktail, a $5 betting voucher, tip sheet and seating for the race. Attendees on Sunday can guess the winning horse at the Tokyo City Cup graded stakes race and enter a raffle for various prizes. A free pin giveaway is available for a limited number of attendees.

The event also honors a friendship agreement signed over 20 years ago between Santa Anita Park and the TCK Oi racetrack, a prestigious horse racing venue in Tokyo. The Tokyo City Cup was upgraded to a Grade III race in 2005, and continues to celebrate the relationship between the U.S. and Japan.

Santa Anita Park is located at 285 W Huntington Dr. in Arcadia. Admission is $10. Parking is in Gate 3 off of Huntington Drive.
