Jets' Chaz Lucius fancies himself earning a roster spot come opening night

Jets' Chaz Lucius is confident he can make the team and play in the NHL. He was drafted in 2021 in 18th place. Lucius missed his college years with the University of Minnesota due to injuries. The 19-year-old is playing in Winnipeg's rookie camp. His first game is on Friday against Edmonton's youngsters in Penticton. He will play against the Edmonton prospects. Lucius and Cole Perfetti missed the 2022 World Junior Hockey Championships due of injuries and they are still recovering. They are looking forward to playing the games.
