Savoie sizzles in first action with Sabres

Matthew Savoie was drafted by the Sabres in the ninth round on July 7th. He missed development camp due to a shoulder injury. Appert watched him play in rookie camp. Savosie is a high-level prospect. He can play for the Buffalo Sabres for nine games before the first year of his entry- level contract kicks in. The chances of him being called up from junior are slim. Jiri Kulich and Filip Cederqvist missed Wednesday's practice. They are the other two forwards drafted in July. On Wednesday, Savon was playing with Winnipeg Ice.
