Catchings Reaches Basketball Immortality

The NBA player with the most number of games scoring one particular point total likely isn’t one fans would think of — 12-year forward Harvey Catchings had the highest number of exact totals at 179.

For Catchings, the figure that landed him on the list was his number of two-point games, which came in a career that spanned from 1974 to 1985.

Michael Cage had the next highest number of exact point outcomes, scoring six points in 144 different games, while Shaun Livingstone (143 four-point games), PJ Brown (115 eight-point games) and Charles Oakley (107 10-point games) were next up on the all-time exact point totals leaderboard.

Other longtime NBA players that scored a certain amount at least 100 times were Horace Grant, who had 102 12-point games in his career, while Jason Kidd had an even 100 11-point games during his 21-year run with Dallas, Phoenix, New Jersey and New York.

Conversely, the lowest overall number of games on the list was Evans, who had 58 one-point games in his NBA career.

Other noteworthy NBA players that made the list were Garnett (with 88 20-point games), Tim Duncan (77 19-point games and 82 17-point outings) and John Stockton (91 13-point games). Could rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama join this list eventually? Maybe, but BetMGM Sportsbookexpects Wembanyama to join Duncan as NBA Rookie of the Year, giving him -200 odds. Scoot Henderson is second at +350.
