Kentucky Derby champ Rich Strike faces tough test in Belmont

Rich Strike won the Kentucky Derby on May 7. He will run in the Belmont Stakes on Saturday. We the People is the morning-line favorite. The race is 1.5 miles long. It's a mile and a half in distance. The jockeys will have to do the job for Rich Strike. They will be riding horses that have never won a Triple Crown before. There are eight horses in this race. Golden Glider finished second to We The People in Peter Pan Stake on April 14. Mark Casse won Belmonst with Sir Winston three years ago. His trainer is going to saddle Golden Glimmer in Saturday's race, too.

Leon has never ridden at Belmont Park before. He will ride Rich Strike in the $1.5 million Bel Montgion Stakes. The jockey will have to decide where to ride and when to move. Other horses with good trips are Creative Minister and Skippylongstocking. They are all from the Preakness.
