Kings vs. Rockets prediction and odds for Wednesday, February 8 (Kings win big again)

The Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets are facing off for the second time in as many games on Wednesday night after the Kings picked up a 20-point win as 5.5-point favorites on Monday.

The win moved Sacramento to 8-4 against the spread as road favorites this season, and the team showed how important De’Aaron Fox is, as he returned to the lineup after missing two games for the birth of his child.

The Rockets are still without Kevin Porter Jr., and they’ve been struggling mightily, losing seven of their last 10 and falling to 29th in the NBA in net rating.

The spread has moved a bit in this game from Monday’s contest, but has it moved enough to change the way we approach betting on this game?

Here’s where I’m leaning for my best bet on Wednesday:

Kings vs. Rockets prediction and pick

I still think the Kings are the side to back in this spot, especially since Houston has a -8.1 net rating so far this season.

The Kings (seventh in the NBA in net rating) are a tough offense for the Rockets to match up with when Fox is in the lineup, and Houston has shown all season that it is one of the worst teams in the NBA, posting the league worst record.

Offense is the key here, as Sacramento is No. 2 in the NBA in offensive rating while the Rockets are 29th in ORTG and 28th in effective field goal percentage.

This line is still too short for me to get behind Houston, who is still only 8-19 at home this season and has lost 14 of its last 16 home games.
