Liverpool vs Luton Town prediction and odds ahead of Premier League clash

Liverpool's focus in the Carabao Cup will take a slight detour as they welcome Luton Town to Anfield in the rearranged Premier League match. Jurgen Klopp's side will no doubt be delighted to see Man City drop points at the weekend and regardless of what happens against Brentford, they cannot overtake the Reds at the top of the table.

The Reds go into this match as the overwhelming favourites at 1/5 with CopyBet while Luton are 11/1 to get them out of the relegation zone and a draw is 6/1. This will be the first time Luton will be at Anfield since January 1992 and have never won at the stadium in 14 attempts.

Klopp's squad are now in pole position in the title race even despite losing a crucial six-pointer with Arsenal. Man City fluffed their lines to beat Chelsea at the weekend and are now finding themselves in the position of chasing the Reds but the margin is still small as we approach the business end of the season.

Betting Tips

  • Luis Diaz to score anytime - 27/20

  • Liverpool to win to both teams to score - 13/10

  • Over 3.5 total goals - 5/6

Luis Diaz to score anytime

With Mo Salah still looking to get to full match fitness and Diogo Jota expected to be out for months, according to Klopp, eyes will be looking towards Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez to deliver the goods.

Nunez will be full of confidence going into this match after hitting goals in back-to-back league matches for the first time since moving to Merseyside. The 24-year-old continues to show signs of improvement and with the title race fully underway, Klopp will be expecting the Uruguayan to continue his form and is 87/100 to score anytime.

Meanwhile, Diaz has been superb recently picking up five goal involvements in his last four league appearances including two goals and is surprisingly 27/20 to score anytime in a game tipped to be a busy shift for both goalkeepers.

Liverpool to win and both teams to score

Both sides boast one of the strongest returns on the both teams to score market in the Premier League. The Reds have finished 17 of their Premier League matches this season with both sides scoring which is way above the average in the Premier League.

For Luton, they have only blanked four times in the Premier League including three of them on the road and have finished 18 matches with both sides scoring - only Tottenham and Brighton have a better record. The only time they failed to score at home was against Tottenham back in October during Ange Postecoglou's impressive start to life in north London but have scored in their last 12 matches too.

Over 3.5 total goals

With both sides impressive record in front of goal of late it points to an end-to-end performance that points towards a potential goalfest at Anfield.

The last time Luton Town blanked in front of goal in the Premier League was away to Manchester United back in November. Since then, they have scored 23 times in 12 league outings which statistically puts them just shy of two goals per game.
