Lukewarm Breeders' Cup favorites typically ones to avoid

Lukewarm favorites have won only four of the last 10 Breeders' Cup races. Turf races account for 17 of 28 races in the sample. The Filly and Mare Sprint has produced the most lukewarm favourites. The winner of each of these races has been a Filer and a Mare. Breeder's Cup is held at Keeneland. It's too early to predict which races will have longer-priced favorites. Some old standbys include the Filler and Marry Sprint, Juvenile Fillies Turfs and Juveniles Turfing. Races for certain not to qualify include Classic (G1), Distaff ( G1) and Distaffe (J1).
