Rich Strike bit Greg Blasi and his horse after the Kentucky Derby. Blasi's job was to calm the horse down so winning jockey Sonny Leon could do TV interviews. Eric Reed, Rich Strike's trainer, defended Blase's actions. He said Rich was in 'killer mode' and wanted to outrun every horse on the track. The horse bit Blases arm and leg. It was not intentional. Richard was trying to run by the other horse.
