March Madness 2023 Odds: Buy UConn as Men's College Basketball Contender

The men's college basketball season has about a month and a half of action under its belt. The Big East's UConn Huskies opened the season with odds to win the national championship at +8000. Now their odds have shortened to +1600 with PointsBet.

UConn Huskies are +1600 via PointsBet and Arkansas Razorbacks +3000 via FanDuel Sportsbook for March Madness.

Houston is currently +800 via Caesars. The value isn't great, but the team will probably give back the odds as the season progresses. Houston has done well in March Madness recently. Marcus Sasser is still quarterbacking and Kelvin Sampson is coaching.

UConn has the best offensive-defensive efficiency ratio in the nation. They score 80 points per game and only allow 59. Creighton has lost four straight games. They rank 12th in offensive efficiency and 11th on the defensive side.

Purdue was left off the Top 25 list to begin the season. They are undefeated and led by Zach Edey. Edy has taken over leadership duties better than anyone could've imagined. He is prolific in his efficiency scoring and plus-minus post play. He looks like Yao Ming compared to the rest of the players.

Arkansas is a +3000 favorite to win the game against Nevada. Eric Musselman's team has reached the Elite Eight in two straight seasons. They have a good non-conference schedule this season, but also a three-point loss to Creighton. Nick Smith Jr. is one of the best freshmen in the country.

UNC has struggled recently, but they are still considered a contender for March Madness 2023. Armando Bacot is back and he has produced a double-double in five of six games. UNC has four players averaging double the point total and transfer Pete Nance is still learning to gel with his teammates.

Maryland is a long shot pick for FanDuel's March Madness 2023. Head coach Kevin Willard has had a successful career at Seton Hall. He has just finished a season with the Terps, who are currently 8-0. The team is led by Donta Scott, a senior who is the best player on the team.
