Michigan vs. Washington SGP picks: 2024 CFP same-game parlay

The college football season concludes on Monday with the CFP National Championship Game featuring No. 1 Michigan and No. 2 Washington.

The Wolverines were 0-2 in the CFP under Jim Harbaugh until they beat Alabama 27-20 in overtime last week. Washington survived a late scare against Texas but advanced to the decisive match on the back of outstanding play from Heisman runner-up Michael Penix Jr.

Michigan vs. Washington SGP picks: Pair Huskies, over in CFP same-game parlay (+396 or better)

Styles make fights, in the ring and on the football field. The Huskies aren’t the most well-rounded team in college football, but they’re extremely explosive with Penix, a potential top-10 draft pick and wideout Rome Odunze, and the rest of their skill-position players.

Pro Football Focus also graded their offensive line as the third-best pass-blocking unit in the country, and they should be able to deal with UM’s front line.

Michigan is great on defense (fewest points allowed per game in the nation at 10.2) and controls the clock but doesn’t generate a ton of big plays. They dominated Alabama in the trenches and will gash UW on the ground but will ultimately struggle to match how quickly Penix and co. can move down the field, particularly late in the game.

There’s no defense for great offense, and that’s exactly what Washington has from top to bottom, whether that be players, coaching staff, or scheme. They controlled the tempo against Texas and are going to be the best offense UM faced all year, and we expect this to ultimately become their style of game.

Best Michigan vs. Washington same-game parlays: Blake Corum, Michael Penix Jr. props (+252 or better)

Penix Jr. led the nation in passing yards (4,648) and is fresh off a 430-yard performance against Texas. He also threw for 300+ yards in four of six games against ranked opponents and has proven himself to have tremendous confidence, so he shouldn’t be shaken by a UM defense that allowed the fewest yards per game. Washington needs him to ball out to win, and he hasn’t disappointed yet.

Odunze leads Washington with 1,553 receiving yards and went over 100 yards in five straight games. He caught six balls for 125 yards (20.8 yards per reception) against Texas and is one the best wide receiver prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft. Big moments are meant for star players, and Odunze is primed to get a ton of looks from his star QB.

Just how likely is Corum to find the end zone?

Sportsbooks have him around -370 as an anytime TD Scorer. He set an all-time program record with 25 TDs this season, including one of the best runs in CFP history in the form of his game-winning TD against Alabama. Washington allowed Texas to run for 180 yards and three TDs on only 28 carries, and its only real weakness is stopping the run.
