Milwaukee Brewers 2024 Playoff Odds 26% Lower Than Last Year, Per Fangraphs

The Milwaukee Brewers will be relying upon a lot of young players and prospects during the 2024 season.  In 2023 names like Joey Wiemer, Sal Frelick, Brice Turang, and Abner Uribe were integrated into the lineup.  This year those same players will be depended upon but they will be adding others in which Jackson Chourio and DL Hall headline the group

With more less proven MLB players fangraphs’ projections have the Milwaukee Brewers playoff odds 26% lower than this time last year.  

A post from Codify headlined the biggest changes in playoff odds entering the 2024 season when compared to their 2023 preseason playoff changes.  Milwaukee saw the fifth largest decrease in playoff odds at 26%.  Teams below them included the Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Angels, New York Mets, and San Diego Padres.

What are the current playoff odds for the Milwaukee Brewers?  

Per Fangraphs’ projection models the Brewers are entering the 2024 season with a 33.4% chance to make the playoffs.  Their odds at winning the division are 18.7% and Wild Card odds are at 14.6%.  They have a 4% chance to clinch a first round bye and 1% odds to win the World Series.

Which National League Central team has the best playoff odds? 

Currently the St. Louis Cardinals have the best playoff odds in the division at 52.4%.  The Chicago Cubs are second at 40.1% and then the Brewers.  Cincinnati has a 25% chance to make the post season and Pittsburgh is last at 17.9%.
