The Wildcats were riding high going into their Week 6 matchup with No. 1 Georgia following a dominant win vs. No. 22 Florida. But the Bulldogs were unstoppable in a 51-13 trouncing of Kentucky, led by 389 passing yards and four touchdowns from Carson Beck.

A far easier matchup awaits Kentucky this week vs. a Missouri squad that blew a 15-point lead to No. 23 LSU en route to a 49-39 defeat. The Tigers’ explosive offense averages 33 points per game thanks to QB Brady Cook and WR Luther Burden, who rank fifth and first in yards at their positions, respectively.

Unfortunately for Mizzou, its offensive efficiency isn’t matched by its defense. The Tigers have been in many barnburners this season, as at least 57 points have been scored in Missouri’s previous four games.

The Tigers have tallied 30 points or more in four of five games, and a similar output would require minimal scoring from the Wildcats for the over to cash in. Kentucky is on the heels of its worst offensive showing of the season, but Devin Leary and Co. have an excellent opportunity to rebound at home vs. a subpar Tigers defense.

The Cook-Burden connection has been impressive for the Tigers, who also have a stud RB in Cody Schrader, with the second-most yards in the SEC.

Only Ray Davis has more yards than Schrader, but success won’t come easy vs. a Mizzou defense allowing 108 yards per game on the ground. Instead, it’ll be up to Leary and Kentucky’s aerial attack to expose the Tigers’ questionable pass defense.

Burden is only in his second season of college football, but has quickly established himself as a tier one WR in all of FBS. The 19-year-old’s worst game came in Week 1 when he had seven catches for 96 yards and a score.

Since then, he’s eclipsed 110 receiving yards in five games, including 140-yard, 149-yard, and 149-yard performances. The Wildcats’ defense ranks in the bottom half of the SEC against the pass, meaning another monstrous game is in line for Burden.
