MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (4/13)

With baseball back in full swing, here are some of our favorite MLB Same Game Parlays for today.

Thursday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays

    • Leg 1: Red Sox Moneyline (+175)
    • Leg 2: Rafael Devers to get 1+ Total Bases (-235)
    • Leg 3: Alex Verdugo to get 1+ Total Bases (-205)
    • Leg 4: Race to 3 Runs: Red Sox (+160)

The Tampa Bay Rays are off to a blazing 12-0 start and have looked virtually unstoppable up until this point. They’re looking for the four-game sweep of the Red Sox today at home to make it 13 straight. Lefty Jeffrey Springs gets the start today against righty Corey Kluber. In two starts, Springs has only given up 3 hits in 13 innings, albeit against the lowly A’s and Tigers. All signs point to the Rays today, but I am going out on a limb and looking to back the Sox today. Look for the Rays and Springs to come back to Earth today for their first loss of 2023. I think Verdugo and Devers can reach base today, as the Red Sox will need to get to the Rays’ bullpen early on. There should be plenty of opportunities to score in this game, as these teams put up a combined 16 runs last night. If the Sox can get their bats going without key hitters Yoshida and Duvall, they can finally hand the Rays their first loss of the year.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals

    • Leg 1: Pirates +1.5 (-105)
    • Leg 2: Over 7.5 Total Runs (-155)
    • Leg 3: Bryan Reynolds 1+ RBIs (+170)

St. Louis is coming off two straight victories in Colorado to win their series against the Rockies, while the Pirates lost two out of three at home vs. the Astros. Montgomery has had a strong start to the year, posting two wins while only giving up three runs in 12 innings. I expect the scrappy Pirates to make this a close game against a familiar opponent, and I think Montgomery has his first rough start of the year. Bryan Reynolds has been on fire to start 2023, as he’s tied for 1st in RBIs (14) and 2nd in HR (5) in the National League. The switch hitter will bat right-handed against Montgomery, and I’d look for him to stay hot and knock in another run for the Pirates. Vince Velasquez is on the hill for the Pirates, looking to improve on his start to the season that finds him currently 0-2 with a 9.82 ERA. Look for a high-scoring game, as Velasquez has trouble keeping runs off the board. The Pirates can get to Montgomery today to help over 7.5 runs cash and possibly an outright win for the Buccos in St. Louis.
