NASCAR Xfinity Series: Production Alliance Group 300 Betting Preview

Richard Childress Racing-Chevrolet comes into the weekend as our Production Alliance 200 betting favorite but very far down the odds list.

Hill finished sixth in the Xfinity Series standings as a rookie but finished 27th at Production Alliance 300 last season. However, Hill just won his second straight Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona but did it impressively. Hill won pole position, the first stage, and the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner 300 (a.k.a the Daytona 300) one week ago.

While Hill is among our betting favorites, the oddsmakers have Stewart-Haas Racing-Ford’s Cole Custer as the pre-race weekend Production Alliance betting favorite. Custer is in his first full season in the Xfinity Series but has an excellent history here. He has led the most laps, winning session two and the 2022 Production Alliance Group 300.

Hill finished eighth in qualifying last season but fell out of contention early and finished 27th.

Promising Start and Championship Potential

Last season’s win was one of two podiums for Custer, who only competed in five NASCAR Xfinity Series Races in 2022. Custer finished 9th at the Daytona 300 and will be among the drivers in the mix to win most weekends. Also, he will be in the mix for the Championship when the playoffs roll around.

Custer finished second in qualifying for the 2022 Production Alliance Group 300 behind A.J. Allmendinger, finished second in stage one, and went on to lead all 80 laps of the final stage.

Three NASCAR Cup Series regulars who are ineligible for Xfinity Series points are confirmed entries for the Production Alliance Group 300 and are among the betting favorites this weekend.

Tyler Reddick, who races for 23XI Racing-Toyota in the Cup Series, will be jumping out of a Camry and into a Sam Hunt Racing-Toyota Supra for the Production Alliance Group 300.

Viral sensation Ross Chastain will be racing in his Trackhouse Racing-Chevrolet ride in the Cup Series on Sunday. But on Saturday, he will compete for DGM Racing-Chevrolet.

Austin Dillion from Richard Childress Racing-Chevorlet in the Cup Series will be making his 2023 Xfinity Series debut for Kaulig Racing-Chevrolet.

While the top cars in the Xfinity Series odds are mostly Chevrolet, a Toyota is mixed in with the oddsmakers’ favored Chevrolet rides. After solid results at the Daytona 300, Joe Gibbs Racing-Toyota’s John Hunter Nemechek, who finished second at the Daytona 300, JR Motorsports-Chevorlet’s Justin Allgaier, who session two and finished third at Daytona. These are two of the Xfinity Series regulars favored to win the Production Alliance Group 300.

NASCAR Xfinity Series: Production Alliance Group 300 Betting Picks

After reviewing odds and identifying potential winners, we need to make our Xfinity Series picks to close our Production Alliance Group 300 betting preview.

Pick 1: Our first NASCAR pick is to take Austin Hill to start the season on fire and win back-to-back races. With back-to-back excellent performances at Daytona and a strong qualifying for this race last season, we really like Hill at +1600 to be a big underdog to win this race.

Pick 2: Our second pick is to take betting favorite Cole Custer, who had an incredible 2022 at this event and could repeat those results in 2023.

Pick 3: Our third and final Production Alliance Group 300 betting pick is to take JR Motorsports-Chevorlet’s Justin Allgaier to improve on his second-place finish at the Daytona 500 and park his ride on Victory Lane at Fontana.
